I aim to create a safe, comfortable, non-medical space that allows you to relax and enjoy your treatment.
I use a combination of my massage techniques to bring you relief and positive results as quickly as possible.
We will have a full consultation (on the telephone or video call) before the first treatment to understand your goals for the treatment and work out the best treatment plan for you.
If you are suffering with lymphoedema, my aim is to help reduce swelling and pain that lymphoedema brings, to help improve your range of movement and to help you get back to doing the things that matter to you.
If you have had surgery we can work on, around, or far away from that area depending on your requirements. Some surgery scars can be greatly helped with gentle treatment to soften them and help them to become less ridged, if that is required. Recent surgery sites may need time to settle and we can easily work on other areas of the body.
Some surgery, such as a mastectomy, can leave a patient with a stiff arm and neck, a lack of movement and reach in the affected arm and sometimes pain referring to other areas of the body. I can work through the clothes, if necessary, to help ease the tension and restrictions.
Kinesiology taping might be required to help manage the condition which I can apply at the end of the treatment.
After the treatment I often give one or two simple stretches or exercises for you to do at home to continue the good work that we have achieved during the treatment. This ‘homework’ isn’t essential, but can really help to ease your condition and accelerate your recovery. it also gives you some control over your condition and helps you to manage your condition.
Some conditions cannot be solved in one treatment only, sometimes a series of treatments might be required to make a positive and lasting difference.
